Barracuda Networks Named Excellence Award and Reader Trust Finalists in 2008 SC Magazine Awards Program

Barracuda Spam Firewall Selected Excellence Award Finalist; Barracuda Web Filter and Barracuda IM Firewall Selected Reader Trust Award Finalist
Campbell, Calif., Jan. 10, 2007 – Barracuda Networks Inc., the worldwide leader in email and Web security appliances, has been named a finalist in the SC Magazine Awards program for outstanding achievement in information technology (IT) security. The Barracuda Spam Firewall was named a finalist for an Excellence Award in the Best SME Security Solution category. The Barracuda Web Filter and Barracuda IM Firewall were selected as finalists for Reader Trust Awards in the Best Web Filtering Solution and Best Instant Messaging Security Solution categories, respectively.

For SC Magazine’s Excellence Awards, IT security vendor companies nominate solutions for consideration with entries judged by a panel of 18 leading chief security officers from major corporations and large public sector organizations. The Barracuda Web Filter and Barracuda IM Firewall are among more than 600 entries submitted in more than 30 technology categories for Reader Trust Awards. Finalists are determined through voting conducted by the publication’s readers. Readers vote for what they view as the solution that is most effective at helping them to address the problems for which it was designed.
